I have started working on another Polar Bear. I like my beadwork to have contours and depth so, I use layers of felt under the beads. I also add beads in layers to add more depth. Hunting
New bead art. An Ermine, hunting in the deadfall. Approximately 7 x 9 in. Seed beads, hedgehog quills, horsehair and a rock from Thompson Pass.
Arctic Fox
This is my latest bead art piece. The center scene was fun to do, some of those beads are tiny! 8in. X 6in.
Beading History
I am starting a new beading project. I love all of the historic buildings / landmarks in Alaska and I love beading. I will work from photos for reference, Each piece will be approximately 9 x 11 inches. I hope to incorporate a stone or piece of mineral from each location into the bead art.Continue reading “Beading History”
It was a busy Spring!

Too nice to stay indoors !
It was a beautiful afternoon, much too nice to be inside. I put aside my beads to go for a walk. We headed to the Chena Lakes – River area.
