One bead at a time.
I have been beading up a storm! Getting ready for a new show is always exciting, and messy. Here are some photos of what I have been doing. Trumpeter Swans at Creamer’s Field
A sure sign of spring in Fairbanks is the arrival of the swans , geese and ducks. The field was plowed and seeded last week, just in time for the first visitors. They came in about 10 days early this year! I took lots of pictures, here are a few.
What a great evening. We attended the Interior Artisans 30th Annual Juried Show at the Bear Gallery tonight. The guest juror was Don Decker, google him. He has a very impressive art style. I had four pieces entered and accepted! Thrills, right? It got better. I had 2 pieces get Honorable Mention Awards. I wasContinue reading “First Friday”
Young couple checking out the neighborhood
We had our first robin in the yard today. I have heard them for the past week, this is the first one that spent some time in the yard. It sprinkled rain this afternoon, so I got some beading done. While taking a break I noticed this couple walking down my driveway. It is always goodContinue reading “Young couple checking out the neighborhood”
The birds are back!
Made a stop at the Creamers Field this afternoon. It was busy, lots of people using the viewing areas and the walking trails. Beautiful day, sunny and warm.
The MASK is finished!
I think I really like this one. I usually work in earth tones, but this project needed bright, happy beads. What do you think? Here is my backyard snowshoe hare. Thanks for looking, have a great week-end!
This snowshoe hare hangs out in my front yard every morning, and spends late afternoon – early evening in the back yard. It is nice to watch him change color with the season.
Finished beading Tulip
Now on to my next project. almost done added a fallen petal now I need to decide on using a frame or a hanging dowel.?
The battle for territory has started. These guys and gals are running from daybreak til dark. They do stop to eat the fallen bird seed. All in all a beautiful day.
