Walking Stick…pattern progress
This is it, I’m happy with the colors and pattern. I will repeat this pattern to cover the blue felted area on the stick.

Well that did not go as planned! The original bead pattern, that I carefully drew on graph paper, is a failure. I got 3 rows of done, tried it out on the walking stick and decided ” I do not approve. ” So… after taking apart the offending beadwork I restarted sans pattern. While clearing undergrowth last spring I decided this piece of Diamond Willow was perfect for a bead project. It has been stripped of it’s bark, dried, lightly sanded, and has 3 coats of mineral oil.
