New WIP Beaded Walking Stick

While clearing undergrowth last spring I decided this piece of Diamond Willow was perfect for a bead project.  It has been stripped of it’s bark, dried, lightly sanded, and has 3 coats of mineral oil.

Now to start the beading. I drew a basic design on graph paper, picked out some of my favorite colors and wrapped a piece of felt on the stick to mark the area to be covered. I will be using 3-bead brick stitch.  It is one of my favorite off loom stitches as it moves along quickly. This should be a fun project.  I think should drill a hole for a hand strap, off to get my dremel!
