The neck was a pain to get done! I was trying to make it look as if the viewer was seeing it from an angle…. this will have to do. I changed the dress also, instead of one shade of turquoise I am using a mix of three. It helps add texture. Still thinking aboutContinue reading “Beading, beading, beading.”

The birds are back!
Made a stop at the Creamers Field this afternoon. It was busy, lots of people using the viewing areas and the walking trails. Beautiful day, sunny and warm.
Kachina update
This is going to be more detailed than first planned. I resisted using anything smaller than 11’s until I got to the blade. It just needed more detail, so I dug out these tiny bugles…not sure of their size. Pic has a few 11’s for comparison. Guess I will be getting out the 18’s andContinue reading “Kachina update”
“Kachina” my new bead project
I am beginning a new bead embroidered piece. He is a 10″ tall Kachina Doll. I will make posts as the work progresses. Feel free to ask questions, if you have any.
The MASK is finished!
I think I really like this one. I usually work in earth tones, but this project needed bright, happy beads. What do you think? Here is my backyard snowshoe hare. Thanks for looking, have a great week-end!
mask progress
This is coming along nicely. The center is the most difficult part so far, the eyes should be fun!
Blending In
This snowshoe hare hangs out in my front yard every morning, and spends late afternoon – early evening in the back yard. It is nice to watch him change color with the season.
The Mask, so far…
This is turning out ok. So far I am happy with it. Still trying to figure out how I will get the bridge of the nose done?
The Mask
I have started beading a mask ! Not sure where I am going with this, but it should be interesting. I will keep posting my progress.
Finished beading Tulip
Now on to my next project. almost done added a fallen petal now I need to decide on using a frame or a hanging dowel.?
45 degrees!
The battle for territory has started. These guys and gals are running from daybreak til dark. They do stop to eat the fallen bird seed. All in all a beautiful day.
Accent beads added to Tulip
I worked for 2 hours with tiny size 22 French seed beads to outline the petals, only to remove those beads and go search the bead stash for something better! I laid out 4 or 5 colors of 22s and a few 15s. Decided on the 15s in an AB finish. I think I willContinue reading “Accent beads added to Tulip”
