Well that did not go as planned! The original bead pattern, that I carefully drew on graph paper, is a failure. I got 3 rows of done, tried it out on the walking stick and decided ” I do not approve. ” So… after taking apart the offending beadwork I restarted sans pattern. I’m liking this ,only 4 rows in but I think it is a keeper.

I like the pattern and the colors. I think that a true artist has many “trys” before being satisfied. And if that is a sign of a true artist, I must be one too, because I’ve taken out SO many patterns so far.

Yep. I do better if I let the pattern develop as I go. Weird, right? Drawing them out never works for me.
